You’ve seen it everywhere, ‘Click here to submit your site to 1000 search engines, automatically’. This is all well and good, but they are the minor engines and just generate a lot of mails into your inbox that you could well do without!!

To be effective, you have to get indexed by the main search engines and human based directories, which still offer a free submission service. Many of the others are now operating a ‘pay-per-click’ inclusion in their listings, or a ‘paid-for’ submission. It will be interesting to see how this develops and how many businesses will pay for inclusion. If your site is constantly changing & you want it indexed regularly, then this option would probably suit you and I can arrange it.

For static sites, it need only be necessary to get indexed with Google, etc., because the others then take these results to bolster their own.
